We are located exactly 2kms North of the center of Yangshuo and just above the West bank of the Li River

Market Hours
The Li River Retreat is located 1km from the Dragon Head mountain boat docks, and it is here that all the domestic visitors get dropped off when they arrive on their cruise down the Li River from Guilin
The boats begin to arrive from around 12pm and finish at around 3.30pm. These times vary throughout the year as the speed of the current in the river varies. So if we have had some rain, then the cruises will arrive sooner
Due to this, the road leading to the Retreat from Yangshuo, is closed to vehicles during this time. However, it is possible to walk, ride a bike or even a motor bike during this time
If you have arranged a transfer and it arrives during this time, then we will arrange for you to be dropped off at our restaurant in Yangshuo where you can leave your luggage securly. You can then wait for the road to open to vehicles or you can walk into the Retreat and our staff will arrange to have the luggage delivered once the road is reopened
Transfers
Guilin Airport - Guilin City (Train station or any hotel)
We can arrange a transfer from/to Guilin's airport, train station or any hotel in Guilin and we can do this at any time of the day or night
When you make a booking with us, you will be given the option to arrange a transfer online through your online reservation page
Coming on a Li River Cruise
If you come to Yangshuo on a Li River cruise from Guilin, then you will most likely be dropped off at the foreign boat docks near West Street in Yangshuo. From here it is a short walk to our restaurant in Yangshuo (The Buffalo Bar). The road to the Retreat will most likely be closed to vehicles at this time, but our staff at the Buffalo Bar can take care of your luggage. You have the option of waiting for the road to the Retreat to be reopened or you can walk to the Retreat and our staff will arrange for your luggage to be transported a little bit later
Arriving by bus
From Guilin
There are two type of public buses that you can take from Guilin
The Express Bus
These leave from the main bus station in Guilin and are non-stop and non-smoking. This bus will drop you off at Yangshuo's bus station which is a short walk to our restaurant in Yangshuo, the Buffalo bar.
The `Local` Bus
These depart from the front of the main train station in Guilin and stop many times along the way to Yangshuo. These buses are dropping off most tourists by the petrol station at the entrance to Yangshuo which is a long way away from the center of town
From Shenzhen or Guangzhou
The overnight buses from either Shenzhen or Guangzhou arrive to Yangshuo very early in the morning (5am to 8am) and will either drop you off at Yangshuo's bus station or near the petrol station at the entrance to Yangshuo
Transfer Prices
A taxi can hold 3 adults comfortably or 2 adults and 2 children if you are not carrying too much luggage
The Volkswagon Caddy can hold 4 adults comfortably. We only have one of these so we need to confirm with the driver to see if it is available for your transfer
The 11 seater bus can hold 7 adults comfortably. The other seats are taken up by your luggage
The 14 seater bus can hold 9 adults comfortably. The other seats are taken up by your luggage
